SITUATION

Nestled in the White Mountains of New Hampshire at the base of New England’s highest peak, The Mount Washington Resort has been a summer retreat since 1905. New owners acquired Bretton Woods, the largest ski area in New Hampshire, and sought to transform the total property into a year-round resort with a ski mountain, 3 accommodations types and 7 food and beverage outlets.

OBJECTIVE

Our goal was to change the perception of this New England staple from the summer hotel that inspired Stephen King to write “The Shining” into a year-round retreat for family fun.

SOLUTION

Through advertising, emails, banner ads and a website, we repositioned the Mount Washington Resort as the timeless peak of all New England. By reminding New Englanders that they could pass along the simple traditions they grew up with to their kids, we were able to increase room nights as well as year-round activities resort-wide.
